SQUARE ONE presents INVINCIBLE SUMMER: THE SQUARE ONE CREATIVE COLLECTIVE CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS WITH THEIR ANNUAL FALL ART, MUSIC, FASHION & DANCE SHOWCASE
On Saturday, November 17, 2012, Square One will present their 5th Annual Creative Event called INVINCIBLE SUMMER. The RITZ Ybor will once again be home to the art, music, fashion and dance extravaganza that will feature 75 local artists along with live performances from over 40 musicians, dancers, models and performers. INVINCIBLE SUMMER will help benefit the Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF). More than 1,500 attendees are expected at INVINCIBLE SUMMER.
Each Square One Creative Event revolves around a selected theme. Artists and performers are encouraged to present their work based on the chosen theme which involves specific concepts, colors and subject matter. Audiences are allowed to participate at the event by incorporating the event theme elements into their wardrobe and attire.
The theme of INVINCIBLE SUMMER revolves around the Albert Camus quote: “In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer." Select artists & performers will explore the theme of summer (light, life and hope) always prevailing amid a dark, lifeless and bleak landscape. Audiences will be encouraged to incorporate the theme colors into their attire by wearing the colors orange and/or yellow at the event.
INVINCIBLE SUMMER will feature a special multi-media performance art, dance, aerialist and speed painting show called “Forever 27” by 7th Avenue Dance Company at 8pm and 10:30pm. Other live performances by fashion-dance hybrid Bella Danza, dance troupes DNC, Kinetic Dance and Yoga Loft Tampa along with local bands Rising Down and The Northwest will take place throughout the evening. Participating artists at the event will include Christopher Zenger, Kat Lynes, Linda Alexander, Madeiran Art, Melissa Fair, RJ Runas, Robert Wegmann, Summer Nova & more.
