Square One’s 4th Annual Fall Creative Event called COSMOPOLITAN expands to two nights, taking place with an Art Walk Preview on Friday, November 18, 2011 and continuing with the main event on Saturday, November 19, 2011.

On Friday, November 18, 2011 from 7pm to 11pm, Square One will host an Art Walk preview at The RITZ Ybor and multiple Ybor City-based venues including The Bricks, Ybor Art Colony, The Stone Soup Company, Collage Ybor, Singing Stone, Tre Amici @ The Bunker, Hoffman Porgues Gallery and Sunday’s Fine Dining. More than 75 local artists will be on display at The RITZ Ybor alone, while other participating venues will debut new art shows and exhibits.

On Saturday, November 19, 2011, Square One will present their 4rd Annual Fall 2011 and 8th Square One Creative Event called COSMOPOLITAN. The RITZ Ybor will once again be home to the art, music, dance and fashion extravaganza that will feature 75 local artists along with live performances from over 40 musicians, dancers, models and performers. COSMOPOLITAN will benefit the Pediatric Cancer Fund (PCF). More than 2,500 attendees are expected at both nights of COSMOPOLITAN.

Each Square One Creative Event revolves around a selected theme. Artists and performers are encouraged to present their work based on the chosen theme which involves specific concepts, colors and subject matter. Audiences are allowed to participate at the event by incorporating the event theme elements into their wardrobe and attire.

The theme of COSMOPOLITAN revolves around a traveling, around-the-world, international theme. Audiences will be encouraged to incorporate the theme colors into their attire by wearing the colors red, white and blue at the event.

COSMOPOLITAN, a Square One Creative Event, is open to the general public of all ages.

Admission to the Art Walk preview at all participating locations on Friday, November 18, 2011 is free and open to all ages.

At the Art Walk preview taking place from 7pm to 11pm on Friday, November 18, 2011:
  • The RITZ Ybor will feature over 75 local artists on display,
  • The Bricks located at 1327 East 7th Avenue will debut the hang ten art show produced by Kick Start My Art
  • The Stone Soup Company located at 1517 East 7th Avenue will feature local art on display with 2-4-1 cocktails and $12 pitchers of sangria
  • Ybor Art Colony located at 1521 ½ East 7th Avenue will open their doors welcoming the public to view the artist studios
  • Collage Ybor located at 1701 East 8th Avenue will debut the aves&marten art show produced by The Florida Craftsmen Gallery with live music at 9pm
  • Singing Stone located at 1903 North 19th Street will feature fine art jewelry by Tampa designer Dan Balk as well as 45 award-winning regional artists
  • Tre Amici @ The Bunker located at 1907 North 19th Street will host an open mic night,
  • Hoffman Porgues Art Gallery located at 1907 East 7th Avenue will showcase their gallery and studio space featuring an array of local and regional artwork
  • Sunday’s Fine Dining located at 1919 East 7th Avenue will feature local artwork on display

At the main event taking place from 7pm to midnight on Saturday, November 19, 2011, there will be a $5.00 suggested donation at the door with a portion of those donations benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Fund (PCF).

Live performances by VYB Dance Company, Blake High School, American Racket, contemporary dancer Gina Menichino, singers Jeremy Gloff, Anye Cole and Teagan Kipi, bands The James-Lange Theory, On Carlton Row and Dropin Pickup with a debut fashion show by local designer Ricky Lindsay will take place at the event.

Over 75 local artists will be on display. Guests are encouraged to wear the colors red, white and blue to the event.
