The Year 2010

I want to personally THANK each and every single individual that attended, participated in and supported our 3rd Annual Fall 2010 Creative & Performing Arts Showcase called BERLIN this past November. All of the endless support helped make BERLIN the most successful Square One Creative Event yet.

I look forward to embarking on another adventurous year with you all in 2011. Some exciting events on our calendar include the Chalk Walk in March and both the 14th Annual Festa Italiana and our 4th Annual Spring Square One Creative Event in April next year.

Happy New Year to you and yours! Wishing you nothing but happiness & prosperity in 2011.

"31 years ago, I was born in the city of Berlin. For 29 years, that same city had walls that separated and divided East Berlin from West Berlin. Tonight's celebration is not in congruance with the reasons why the Berlin Wall was built. Tonight's event is celebrating how the Berlin Wall became the world's longest canvas. Nearly every single inch of the 87-mile structure was covered in art, painting and graffitti. Even in times of separation can artistic freedom and creative expression still exist."

From our friends at Tampa Artist Emporium

For those of you who do not yet know, the Tampa Artist Emporium will be closing when our lease expires on Friday, December 31. I've been trying like mad the last few months to negotiate a new lease, but our current landlord is unable to work with us. So, we are letting our lease expire and will be closing at the end of the year. However, I am working on finding a new location in the same area with better exposure and foot traffic and am hoping to reopen in a month or two. I will definitely keep you updated on the progress and would love to have you continue to be a part of the gallery. I just wanted to let you know what was going on so you heard it directly from me and so you also know that this is not the end. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I am super excited to start from scratch and work with Shelby to resurrect our "Phoenix" from the ashes!

As always, thank you for supporting local art!!
