SQUARE ONE ART EXHIBIT

TAMPA BAY ARTISTS UNITE FOR CHARITY ARTS SHOW
Tampa, FL (January 21, 2008) – The Square One Art Exhibit will take place on Saturday, February 9th, 2008 at The RITZ Ybor located at 1503 N 7th Ave in the Ybor City district.
Square One will showcase the works of more than 25 local Bay area artists seeking to sell their works and to help establish Tampa as a creative community. The exhibit will also debut the Adrian Rand fashion show, Taking Flight, by local designer and Square One creator Gary Randall. Select donations and ten percent of all art sales will benefit the Salvation Army of Hillsborough County.
"One of the main frustrations with being an artist is possessing exceptional talent and very little outlets or channels to share it with the public," says Square One creator and Adrian Rand fashion designer, Gary Randall. "My first biggest fear in life was never sharing my artistic vision with others. My second biggest fear was never having an opportunity or way to do so."
Gary hopes that Square One, like the successful Sweatshop and Dirty But Sophisticated art and fashion shows before his, will help give more exposure to the Tampa's arts community and its artists. "
The name Square One derives from the fact that this is my very first art exhibit that I have overseen from the beginning and started from scratch," says Gary. "It also collectively speaks for the majority of artists who are just starting their careers or finding their voice. Every single artist has in some aspect started from square one."
The Adrian Rand fashion show, Taking Flight, will unveil Gary Randall's first ever fashion show and fashion line under the name Adrian Rand. The show will comprise of urban-chic t-shirts that Gary has been selling for over a year now and edgy women's dresses intriguingly inspired by various birds.
Square One is open to the general public, aged 18 years and older, and is free admission to attend. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event will last until 11 p.m. The Adrian Rand Taking Flight fashion show will take place at 9 p.m. Open donations will be accepted to help benefit the Salvation Army of Hillsborough County.
Gary Randall will graduate from the University of South Florida this spring with a B.A. in Advertising. Gary was recently featured in the St. Petersburg Beach art exhibit, Catharsis. His near future plans include officially launching his online designer t-shirt company and pursuing his dreams as an artist in New York City this summer.
